In this talk, Mayank Malik reviewed ongoing research in device identity authentication in decentralized distributed environments. Mayank is Chief Data Officer at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science laboratory operated by Stanford University.

Particularly, Mayank explored Keymaker, a set of smart contracts, protocol, and helper libraries that enable social verification of IoT device identity. This work is being done under TrustDER, a DOE-funded project led by Stanford.

About Mayank

Mayank Malik is the Chief Data Officer and Blockchain Lead for Grid Integration Systems and Mobility (GISMo) at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. Mayank has over 15 years of experience in software development and technology development. Before joining SLAC he worked in investment banking and wholesale finance, developing trading algorithms and financial models. He has a Masters in Computer Science from State University of New York at Buffalo. Currently, he is working extensively at the intersection of Big Data and Renewable Energy with the mission to enable 100% clean energy for all.
